Refurbishment

During the mid 1960’s and 1970’s the building and grounds were allowed to get into a state of disrepair due to bad management which allowed maintenance to slip. It is only since the late 1990’s, under new ownership and an extensive maintenance schedule – which included the demolition of the old derelict garages, the landscaping of the gardens, the installation of new, paved parking spaces and improvement of the perimeter access road – that Kingfisher Court has returned to its former glory.

These pictures, taken in 1996, show how the road and car parking spaces around Kingfisher Court were transformed from a potholed dirt track, with no clear parking spaces, to what we have today.

Work at Kingfisher Court is always on-going with many other major works in recent years, including the replacement of the internal paths, installation of path lights, installation of new gates and railings to the front of the property, refurbishment of the swimming pool and pump shed, and refurbishment of the tennis court which have all added to the improvement to the development.
